Here is some information about me
I'm Sally Brownbill and I'm based in Melbourne, Australia. I know photography inside out and basically, that means I can be your greatest asset.
I'm a trained commercial photographer from RMIT so I know the technicalities of the trade. Once I finished my studies I worked in Europe and the UK in film and television but while I was there I still did a lot of my own shooting. Working with world-class operators was a great experience and I learned some amazing skills, both in front of and behind the camera.
When I came home I started lecturing photography back at RMIT for what became a 13 year stint. I also ran my own agency, representing some of Melbourne’s top photographers. I sourced a variety of work on their behalf, produced for them and when needed creatively marketing their business.
After my own agency I worked with Dux Creative Consultants, not just for photographers but with art directors, graphic designers, copy writers and multi media experts. This was a great ‘rounding-out’ experience and I learned the business from their point of view and made some very handy industry contacts.
I still have the occasional lecturing gig, but now I work more on the B2B side for photographers — designing their folios and helping them with their marketing strategies. I still keep in contact with graphic designers too, working with them to generate new business.
