Here is some information about me
I’m Sally Brownbill and because I know photography and the creative industry inside out, I can be your greatest asset.
Before I tell you what I can do for you, there are a few things you’ll want to know about me:
I’m an RMIT-trained commercial photographer, so from a technical point of view, I know the trade. After studying, I worked in Europe and the UK in film and TV but still did quite a lot of my own shooting. The overseas work was a sensational springboard for me to learn some amazing techniques behind the camera.
But when I returned to Australia I started lecturing at RMIT in photography and I’ve been doing that for over 15 years. I ran my own agency too - representing some of Melbourne’s top photographers. I sourced and produced work for them and designed some clever strategic plans to market their individual businesses.
I moved to Dux Creative Consultants, where I broadened my focus working with art directors, graphic designers, copy writers and multi-media experts.
I learned the business from their perspective and made quite a few very handy industry contacts along the way.
While I’m still very involved in education on a variety of campuses, I work closely with photographers on the B2B side of their business. I get inside their thinking, design their folios and develop a strategic approach on how they present themselves to market.
But of course there’s more to it than just a great looking folio. I understand the individual needs of my clients and build them a brand that’s unique to them. No one else.
Taking great pictures is the easy part. But editing, marketing and designing a sensational, business-winning folio and other tools is not so easy. It’s by combining all my years of experience and training, along with an enviable list of contacts I can call upon that I’m able to add a unique competitive edge.
