Jaime Murcia Latest Folio

– posted by Rachelle

"Working as an editorial photographer for over twenty years I was looking to shake the tree a bit, my tree that is, I needed a fresh pair of eyes to help me build a new folio, to work with someone with the same love and enthusiasm for photography that I have.
Sally was that pair of eyes, her input, feedback and eye for relationships between images was illuminating, I came away energized and excited, she was a delight to work with."

"As an emerging photographer it's sometimes difficult to objectively discern what is your best work, what are your strengths and what direction you should move in - yet after meeting with Sally these aspects of my work are now so much clearer. The time spent going through my work was fun and enlightening, seeing what photos Sally was drawn to and her ability to discern the relationships between disparate images has left me with a folio that is a great vehicle to now show my work to others."

Bill Wood

"I knew Sally many years ago as a freelance Illustrator when Sally was
a Photographers agent.
I had a chance to meet her again after seeing the folio of a
photographer friend of mine. When I asked "Who helped you with that?"
He mentioned Sally Brownbill had assisted him.
After making the request if she would like to direct me in a path to
redo MY folio, she accepted the challenge.
I think what she brought to the task was her seeing an illustration
folio like mine, through the lens of a photographer. Making images
bleed off the top, bottom and all 4 corners of a page sometimes,
mixing the images up in scale, to a degree that I would never have
thought as acceptable was also was a great help. My content was always
great, Sally indeed agreed, however my presentation was not.
So being brave enough to accept the criticism face on and agreeing
that her words of wisdom were indeed correct,  I embraced her
professional opinion.

Sally, thank you for assisting me update my portfolio of Illustration
and for being such a terrific help in this competitive industry.
I couldn't have done it without you!"
