Shoot The Chef 2013 - Barton Taylor

Photographer Barton Taylor was a finalist in the Shoot The Chef competition. Barton photographed Lewis Taylor who is the chef at the Glen street theatre where the shoot took place.

John Clark made a behind the scenes timelapse of the shoot.

Shoot the Chef is an annual photo competition that combines Australia’s passion for food and photography. Open nationally as part of this year’s Good Food Month presented by Citi, it invites everyone to pick up their cameras and tackle the challenge.

The brief was simple:
Shoot a chef (or your interpretation of one!) and share it with us using the #shootthechef

There are two awards – Critics’ Choice and People’s Choice – and each winner will receive $2,500 cash to spend on their latest food or photography craving. The judging panel of esteemed foodies and photographers is looking for the best combination of skill and creative interpretation.

All entries are showcased here where you can also cast your vote for the People's Choice Award by 'liking' your favourite shots. Voting closes today (Sept 26).

Images selected as finalists will be printed and exhibited at the Star in Sydney.
